What can we do about videos that attempt to manipulate us not only through inaccurate information, but doctored images? What is the potential impact of this technology, which is still in its infancy, on our daily lives? How could it affect our very democracy? And when only 34% of Americans believe the mass media to be accurate, how might deepfakes further erode trust in the media? What can and should we do about deepfakes?
